About John-Roger

Dr. John-Roger is a teacher and lecturer of international stature and an inspiration in the lives of thousands of people around the world. For over four decades, his wisdom, humor, common sense and unconditional loving have helped people to discover the Spirit within themselves and find health, peace, and prosperity.

With four co-authored books on the New York Times Bestseller List to his credit and currently fifty-five books and audio albums, John-Roger offers extraordinary insights on a wide range of topics. John-Roger’s recent books are Living the Spiritual Principles of Health & Well-Being, Serving & Giving & The Rest of Your Life, all co-authored with Dr. Paul Kaye, with his most recent book The Wayshower also inspiring the making of his second feature film.

John-Roger has now co-written and produced two feature films: Spiritual Warriors (2007) and The Wayshower (2012).  Spiritual Warriors screened in 57 cities across 25 countries and was the #1 searched ‘spiritual film’ DVD on Amazon in 2008/2009, and is currently available on iTunes for download.  The Wayshower was co-directed by John-Roger & Jsu Garcia and stars Academy Award nominees Eric Roberts and Sally Kirkland, with Peter Stormare, Jsu Garcia, and Leigh Taylor-Young.  The Wayshower premiered in Los Angeles at the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in 2012, and is currently available on iTunes for download.

John-Roger is also currently in post-production on his third film, the feature length documentary titled The Mystical Traveler: The Life and Times of John-Roger, which is due for release and to tour the film festival circuit in 2013.

John-Roger is the founder of ten non-profit / educational organizations including the ecumenical, nondenominational Church of the Movement of Spiritual Inner Awareness (MSIA), Peace Theological Seminary & College of Philosophy (PTS), Insight University & Seminars, the University of Santa Monica (USM), the Heartfelt Foundation, Peace Awareness Labyrinth & Gardens and the Institute of Individual and World Peace (IIWP).

John-Roger has also led thousands of people on ‘spiritual pilgrimages’ known as ‘Peace Awareness Trainings’ to locations including Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Russia, Japan, Africa, all with the same purpose of helping all those involved find greater peace, firstly within themselves, and then out in the world.
